{Real Wedding} Eve & Don - DIY Beachside Extravaganza

It's a Shore Thing!

When I think of Budget Wedding Elegance and DIY Extravaganza, it looks exactly like Eve and Don's stunning turquoise and white beachside wedding. Captured by A Million Sighs Photography, Eve and company spent three days transforming a blank venue at Jupiter Beach Resort in Florida into a spectacular affair complete with every DIY wedding project possible. From edible favors to twinkle lights and lanterns, from their unique guest book to a final send off, Eve and Don prove that couples can indeed create a personal, elegant, detail filled wedding on a budget.

Eve is a radiant bride in her layers of organza but what I love about her most is the playful side that comes through in these images. Elegant, graceful, yet completely herself - how a bride SHOULD be!

Calla Lilies make for a sweet, simple bouquet - unfussy and completely elegant, a perfect compliment to the DIY Budget feel of this seaside affair. This beauty was put together by Botanical Bliss.

Don and the guys look dapper in their white tuxes with a slash of turquoise, perfect for the Florida coast!

Eve chose mismatched bridesmaids gowns for the girls but kept them all the same color, a great trend that shows lots of personality. The wedding party has a cohesive look but different dress styles allows for lots of different body types, complimenting each maid individually.

Eve and Don did a fabulous job of maintaining the color palette throughout their entire celebration - from Eve's hair clip to her dad's bow tie, to the ombre wedding cake to yummy candy bar, table runners, chevron patterned napkins and chinese lanters - all pitched in to create a cohesive wedding look.

Continuing with their beachside wedding branding, I love their unique guest book - a beautiful wooden surfboard.  A treasured memory for years to come I'm sure!

July 4th Wedding Inspiration & a Happy Birthday Present to You!

Make A Declaration
You know, I always thought that getting married on the 4th of July was sort of weird. People are dang crazy on this day - gathering, eating, drinking, merriment. Wait a minute? Isn't that what a wedding is all about? Plus, being a national holiday, you get time off, friends and family can get together with a little lee way on either side...what better way to usher in beginning of summer BBQ’s and picnics, fireworks and the beach...ok fine, you convinced me.

Let's celebrate independence from your parents and the rest of the world by getting married!

GOOD STUFF ALERT! A little gift in honor of independence and birthdays - how about 20% off the entire Wedding Paper Divas site now through July 5th? Not a lot of time but you get a lot of savings. Enter JULYWED at check out and you are in like Flynn. If you are in need of Save the Dates or Wedding Invitations, do it NOW! Seriously, how cute is this?

Since I'm trying to dispense with the cheese factor, here are some tasteful July 4th inspired boards and photos for your viewing pleasure. Confession: As much as I'm not a fan of the ol' Red, White and Blue  wedding palette, the colors for my second wedding (I married the same man twice...joy) were turquoise and red, just a hair shy of the same color family as these patriotic goodies. Happy 4th ya'll!

I am super smitten with these sparkler wedding favors! And the matches - a perfect combo to tie up the theme! Remember wedding branding is about carrying your theme from the first Save the Date sighting to the last smoldering sparkler!
