{Real Wedding Round Up} Something Old In Italy Rustic DIY in Australia | Colorific in Mexico

Dang, I have serious wedding envy! This wedding season is simply exploding with some of the most gorgeous, unique, personal celebrations I have seen in a long time. Brides are putting their DIY skills to the test, taking on the vintage, rustic, shabby chic wedding challenge with ease. In today's Real Wedding Round Up, we are going international, Italy, Australia, Mexico, to see what deliciousness brides are conjuring up...I hope these Oh la la, bellisimo and muy bonita Real Weddings provide you with the perfect inspiration for your big day.  On top of that, hello awesome blogs, The Frosted Petticoat, Style Me Pretty and Green Wedding Shoes - remember a Round Up is profiling the Best of the Best!

Michelle and Spencer's Italian Wedding
First stop, something very old from The Frosted Petticoat who brings us the vintage, old country wedding of Michelle and Spencer. Complete with an ancient church and 1920's inspired wedding dress, I'm not sure how much more perfect and personal you can get. You have GOT to see her stunning dress.  This intimate celebration was captured by wedding photographer Rosapaola Lucibelli.

For the rest of the story and photo gallery, head over to The Frosted Petticoat and remember to give her some blog love! I seriously LOVE this blog, from its chocolaty whimsy right down to its Unlikely Pairings wedding boards! A must check out!

Caitlin and Steve, Rustic Wedding in Australia

Pretty perfect pinwheels were the decor of the day at the rustic Australian wedding of Caitlin and Steve, featured over on Green Wedding Shoes. The bride went DIY with Mom and maids in tow adding just the right amount of color, personality and fun! I adore the burlap reception decor, the cheery color choices and flower petal cones for a memorable exit. Their tablescapes were simple, clean and green, with recycled bottles as centerpiece vases, while their branded pinwheel theme can be seen throughout the entire celebration.  You will love all the little details, captured perfectly by wedding photographer Louisa Bailey

To see the rest of Caitlin and Steve's adorable wedding details, head over to the gallery at Green Wedding Shoes. BUT not before you peep this last stunning international wedding...you'll be happy you did!
Destination: Sunny Mexico with Elizabeth Lloyd Photography
Bright, bold color choices make this wedding stand out from the rest for me. You take seemingly opposite colors, purple, teal and lime green, add sand, surf and the gorgeous destination wedding location that is Puerto Vallarta and you have the perfect modern, chic, DIY wedding, featured on Style Me Pretty. It's full of small touches paying homage to Mexico, as well as snippets of home. Family and friends were treated to a tropical outdoor ceremony and reception, complete with comfy lounge areas, family style tables draped in luxurious teal silk, and Corona as far as the eye can see! This destination wedding makes you feel as if you have been whisked away on a fabulous Mexican vacation.

I think this last photo is probably my favorite, possibly because I just spent 3 months down in Mexico and Central America and this image is so iconic and familiar! For more of the story around this visually pleasing, swoon worthy wedding captured by Kiersten Rowland of Elizabeth LLoyd Photography, head over to Style Me Pretty.  BUT FIRST...

{Real Wedding} Renata & Fabio - Brazilian Beach Wedding

Real Wedding - Renata and Fabio at Itamambuca Eco Resort, Ubatuba, Sao Paulo - Brazil

My favorite day of Beach Wedding Week! I seriously love this gorgeous Real Wedding we found over at Para Ti Novia because first, it takes place in Brazil, my second home, and second, it is exactly what a beach wedding should be. Sun, surf, friends and family, and gorgeous surroundings. Be prepared to be smitten!! All images from Brazilian photographer Ale Borges. Obrigada!

Renata and Fabio met through mutual friends initially but were only friends for the first year, even though they both knew they had feelings for the other.  I love that they started officially dating the day before Brazilian Valentine's Day. So sweet!

As Renata says about the proposal: We are not very formal. We didn't even get engaged. In January 2009, friends of ours came to visit. They talked about how they had gotten married and how important the celebration was to them. All the positive vibration on it. So we decided to get married. Simple as that!

In Renata's own words: Everything was very spontaneous. We are surfers and wanted something very clean, beach style, hippie chic and natural. We choose the local typical flowers. Good for the budget and matched perfectly with the place.

The beach is already pretty and special for us so we didn't need much to make it beautiful. In Brazil, at New Year´s eve we wear all white. We believe it brings positive vibrations, purifications and peace.

We didnt want anything too big , we believe “ less is more”. Clean and simple but at the same time sophisticated. Less means less money too. We focused on the importants things, location, food and fun.

I love all the personal touches Renata and Fabio added to their wedding. Here are a few from Renata: The bride came in a boat, the mothers brought water from the ocean to bless the rings, my father read a poem and my father in law the “corintos 13”.  A friend read a letter written by her and made every one cry. The priest told me to give a petal of my flower to everyone, so we did small pieces and give to the crowd.

My favorite picture of the whole bunch!

This wedding is exactly what we think weddings ought to be; full of family, friends, fun with lots of pieces of personality. Renate and Fabio chose to infuse their celebration with all their favorite things, the beach, the water, the sand, and Brazil. From their all white attire to their water ring blessings, they followed their hearts and passion, stayed on budget and focused on the important things.

Thank you to photographer Ale Borges for the photos. You can check out all the pictures of Renta and Fabio's gorgeous wedding HERE.

de Lovely Eye Candy - Succulents in Southern California

As you hopefully know,  de Lovely Affair has relocated to Southern California from Boston.  We'll still give you the same great multicultural wedding inspiration and practical planning ideas, the same DIY projects and Real Wedding Round Ups, just from a sunnier location.

As such, we thought it would be appropriate for our first official post to feature some gorgeous SoCal Real Wedding Eye Candy.  I'm certain this celebration, found over at Elizabeth Ann Designs, won't disappoint.

Bianca and Matthew - This stunning wedding was held at Sunstone Winery in sunny Santa Ynez, CA and expertly captured by the bride's sister, photographer Jasmine Star, who also served as maid of honor. The couple chose "Love Succulently"*swoon* as their wedding theme, which they pulled off with a perfect combination of vintage and modern elements, lots and lots of succulents and of course, wine themed decor.

Bianca says of their theme: “My full name means white flower, which represents love. Matt is reminiscent of a succulent: layered, intricate, understated, and enduring. The theme was a natural manifestation of who we are. To accent our day, we had eclectic vintage pieces throughout the ceremony and reception representing timeless love and enduring faith. Mixed with modern decor elements, the event played off the design elements of our ceremony and reception location.”

On a personal note, I am absolutely smitten with succulents and the many, many ways they can be used in weddings. (Check out our post on using mini succulents as wedding favors!)  Lucky for me, Southern California is overflowing with them. Heavenly Blooms incorporated succulents into every part of this celebration and along with their choice of color, texture, and floral boldness, expertly brought the wedding theme to life.  Enjoy!

Congratulations Bianca and Matthew! Thank you again to Elizabeth Ann Designs and photographer Jasmine Star for letting us share this gorgeousness!

Go Succulents!!
