South End Wedding Shoot...Brazilian Love in the Air with Binita Patel

I saw this wedding shoot from Binita Patel a few weeks ago and it made me wish I could pack her in my suitcase when I head to Brazil for my next wedding. She is, as always, amazing...just look at the light in the faces of this couple; that is what she captures but I digress.

Karina and Kaio, both of Brazil - a place so near and dear to my heart, make a stunning, stunning pair in this quickie South End wedding shoot by Binita Patel Photography.  Seriously, can you get any more beautiful or real than this?  The super talented Michelle DeVoe of Demiche did an amazing job with Karina's hair and makeup...as Binita said, "Not that Karina really needed it." Michelle is yet another amazing talent I'd love to stick in my suitcase. Check out her super cool Bridal Bug TV for the inside scoop!  I digress yet again!

I wanted to share this shoot with you...well...quite simply cause THIS is how good wedding photography should be done.  And well, this couple just struck my heart.  And the South End architecture looks like that of Laguna, Santa Catarina where I will be getting married.  And that is really all there is to it! Just had to be done. :)

Hope you enjoy this little taste of love and Brazil from the lens of Binita and her team!

You can find the rest of this gorgeous shoot HERE!

Enjoy the sun and smile as often as you can,

{Real Wedding Round Up} Taj in Boston | Andover's Berry Pond | DIY in South Africa

I love looking over Real Weddings - seeing how others pull off their big day is a great way to dream and discover what is possible for yours. They inspire outside the box thinking, encourage courageous and creative choices, and bring tears to our eyes with their beauty and obvious love.

For today's Real Wedding Round Up, here are three current favorites of mine: Sita + Anik at the Taj in Boston by Binita Patel Photography, Geoff + Dianna by DMPJ by Glen Cooper, and Bo + Ryan by Jacki Bruniquel of Durban, South Africa as seen on Wedding Chicks.

Sita + Anik at the Taj in Boston
Every single one of Binita's weddings is festive, full of color and life and very simply, love. It doesn't get any more perfect than that. This wedding is one such occasion. You can't help but fall in love again and again and again.

Binita says, As she took those first few steps down Newbury Street and prepared to see her groom for the first time that day, you could just feel the excitement in the air.  And when Anik turned around to see he dazzling bride, the expression on his face was nothing short of awe.  They smiled, they laughed and they hugged and made an oh-so perfect pair as their silhouette glowed in front of Burberry. I simply love Glen Cooper and his group over at Decisive Moments Photojournalists - they produce some of the most colorful, heart thumping, smile inducing, sigh producing wedding photos. I feel really good inside every time I check out their blog. I chose this one because it is so REAL...not to be cliche...but it is genuine and honest, the way wedding photography should be.
Goeff and Dianna had one of those weddings where we covered so much ground from Medford to Andover and back to Chinatown in Boston for a reception celebration that won’t be forgotten. Any Boston wedding photographer would have loved these two and their free-wheeling spirit. Read and see more by DMPJ...

We found this incredible adorable wedding by Jacki Bruniquel over at The Wedding Chicks and had to share it. It is DIY, sass, sweetness all rolled into one...oh yeah and a gorgeous bride to boot, who is as crafty as she is bold. Well done.

Bo is a California girl who fell in love with a South African boy and got married at the most beautiful gorge on the South Coast of Natal. Against all advice, Bo went with a red and purple theme and spent many hours on all the details. When she couldn’t find red polka dot fabric for the little girls dresses, she just made them herself! She had a very clear vision of what she wanted and actually made most the pretty details in this wedding herself (roping in family and friends of course). Read more here....

So there you have it, our Real Wedding Round Up, gorgeous wedding, exquisite details, all captured by the discerning eye of the photographer. Gosh, I wish I was getting married again...oh wait I am. Oh yeah...swoon.

Upcoming: An Engagement Reveal, Miss Aimee and Her Rockabilly Sweetheart, next week, all from the Emerald Isle and Edson Dias and Dias Photo soon to grace our little slice of blog heaven!

Have a deLicious day. Go with the good.

{Real Wedding} Shilpa and Chirag - Highlight Video

As promised, Lovlies, a super sweet, high energy video of today's featured Real Wedding from Binita Patel Photography.  On my de Lovely journey, I have come to appreciate the absolute joy and beauty of traditional Hindu weddings; the three day event, the festive atmosphere, family and friends and flowers, the deep respect for culture and the dancing, dancing, dancing...as you will see captured in this highlight reel.

Enjoy this serious fun!

{Real Wedding} Shilpa and Chirag from Binita Patel Photography

I have to say before we get started that I am absolutely in love with this couple and their obvious love for one another. I am grateful that the fabulously fabulous Binita Patel offered to share this sweet, sincerely moving Real Wedding with us. Shilpa and Chirag look like the kind of couple who are just eternally happy, which in turn makes me happy!

Here is what Binita had to say about the couple along with her images of this gorgeous, traditional and yet modern Indian wedding.

Shilpa and Chirag are one of those really sweet, really authentic couples who just warm your heart.  You can just tell that they really make each other feel comfortable and loved; and being around them just puts you at ease.

Their wedding day was full of color, love & laughter.  Gorgeous flowers, beautiful materials, filled with tradition and family, and lavish ceremony made it a wedding to be remembered for a long time to come.

The traditional Hindu ceremony took place at La Renaissance in Connecticut with Mandap King, also of Connecticut, providing the mandap and exquisitely detailed decor. Shilpa was a gorgeous bride; her mehndi done by a local Connecticut artist Shabhana, her dresses direct from India and her hair and make up compliments of Amisha’s Artistry. Like most brides, she seemed to be the somewhat quiet...

However the bride and the rest of the wedding were certainly ready to put their party shoes ON once the reception got started. Seriously, Shilpa has sooo much energy. This bunch really knows how to party!

Starting from the baraat (the traditional procession of the groom from his home to the wedding location), all the way through the reception… the dancing just DID NOT STOP!! Thank you for letting me be a part of the glorious day, this coming together of family and tradition. It was an absolute joy!

Make sure you check back later today for the Shilpa and Chirag's highlight video! What fun they had at their celebration, all weddings should be this joyful!  Many thanks again to Binita Patel for sharing her work with de Lovely Affair.
